Development of non-linear models to evaluate the NiTi SMA spring actuator

چکیده

The shape memory alloy (SMA) based actuators are replacing huge and bulky because of its ability to provide high work per unit mass serves as active prismatic joint develop precise robotic manipulators. It also helps in developing a light weight manipulators with simple actuation process. Here, the study presents relationship between contraction Nitinol SMA prings input variables such current time effectively interpret behavioural complexity. In addition, response two Shape springs series combination has been discussed. finite element analysis (FEA) wire spring carried out predict fatigue life spring. result showed that rate increases increase vice-versa. Moreover, range is classified on significance. current, displacement parameters, during spring, second order polynomial regression model. applied have positive impact contractiong SMA. Several models were developed amount actuation. This predicts suitable for application actuator. FEA shows can endurance stress limit which makes it unique compared other commercially available actuators. enables deflection trend positioning applications.
